11:40am to 12:00pm: My Voice Matters - A drama performance from Ignite Me Theatre Group that is set in 2028 and takes a look back at what Merton CIL and Deaf and Disabled people have achieved together over the past 20 years.

12:15pm to 12:45pm: My Voice Matters continued - An interactive discussion about our current needs as Deaf and Disabled people, gaps in services in Merton, what Merton CIL should be focused on and more.

Your feedback will help us to begin planning around developing our new strategy.

We hope to see you there!

There will be BSL interpreters and captions (until 1230)

Voting at the AGM

Merton CIL was set up to give a voice to Deaf and Disabled people. We think that it is really important that Deaf and Disabled people set our direction as an organisation. Our Deaf and Disabled members are full members with a right to vote at our AGM. Supporter members (Non Disabled people) are unable to vote but we still want you to join us as we value your feedback and we are keen to hear what you think.

Full members - If you’re unable to attend the AGM to vote yourself, you may appoint a proxy to vote for you, using our proxy form. This will allow the chair of the AGM to vote on your behalf and ensure you still have a say in the decisions made at the AGM.

You can download our proxy form here - Merton CIL Form of Proxy 2021 (Word doc)

Your completed proxy form must be sent to our registered office (Merton CIL, Vestry Hall, 336 London Road, Mitcham, CR4 3UD) or sent by email (info@mertoncil.org.uk) by 10am on 3rd Dec 2021.

If you would like to vote but need support to understand and/or complete the form, please get in touch.

Printed versions of minutes from our 2020 AGM and our 2020/21 accounts will be available at Vestry Hall and emailed to online attendees prior to the event.
