Celebrating Deaf and Disabled voices in Merton
We want a society where Deaf and Disabled people can take control over their lives and achieve full participation.
Merton CIL believes that society has a number of barriers that disable people with impairments.
Therefore we are working with Deaf and Disabled people in Merton to speak up in creative ways to influence decisions affecting our lives and to shape our local community to be fully inclusive.
We believe that having the confidence to share our own stories and experiences in ways that we are comfortable with will push for needed conversations with decision makers and power positive and lasting change.
We would love as many Deaf and Disabled people in Merton to get involved with our work to create an impactful documentation of what life is like being Disabled in Merton. Please see below for more information on how you can get involved in current campaigns/projects and what members have created so far.
