Speak Up

My Health, My Choice: Speaking Up in Healthcare Settings

Tuesday 11 March 2025
13:00 to 15:00

Navigating the healthcare system as a Disabled person or someone living with a long-term health condition can consume a lot of our time and energy. Whether it is getting an appointment with a GP, seeking a diagnosis, or accessing the treatment we feel we need, we can face many barriers along the way, and it can be hard to speak up and advocate for our own health.

In a workshop led by Merton CIL’s Policy and Campaigns Manager and Speaking Up Supervisor, we will share:

  • Our experiences of healthcare.
  • Tools and information to equip you to speak up for yourself within healthcare settings.

This is also an opportunity as a Merton CIL Member to share your experiences and help shape the future of our Speaking Up Service.

Who Is The Workshop For?

Anyone is welcome to attend, whether you are dealing with a current health-related issue or would simply like to feel more prepared for using the NHS and self-advocating in the future. You do not have to be an existing Merton CIL Member to attend.

Please inform us of any access requirements.

RSVP: Respond by Tuesday 4th February
