In April, the Conservative government launched a consultation about the welfare benefit called Personal Independence Payment (PIP). It stated that the government was worried about the increasing number of people claiming PIP, highlighted the growing cost of providing PIP, and contained a number of suggestions that have caused a lot of worry for people who receive PIP.

We have signed Inclusion London's open letter to the Government demanding they raise accessibility standards for new build homes.

Last month, a group of our Access Champions was pleased to meet up with the Council’s Town Centre Manager for Mitcham, Mark Warren. We are grateful for his time and felt that he was very open to discussing accessibility issues.
