Merton CIL is recruiting for a Trainee Advice and Advocacy Case Worker
Do you have what it takes to join a growing and dynamic user-led Deaf and Disabled People’s organisation in Merton?
We have been described by our evaluators as an organisation that “contributes significantly and positively towards enabling its services users to grow in confidence, self-advocate and assert their rights toward a more independent life” and we are proud to be finalists in the Best Service Excellence category at The Merton’s Best Business Awards 2018.

This role is a great opportunity to develop core information, advice and advocacy knowledge and experience while working with and supporting our committed team of caseworkers. For this role, we are specifically looking for someone to build up their skills and provide Benefits and Money advice and casework. There will also be opportunities to provide housing, community care and health advice and advocacy. We will support the post-holder through on-the-job coaching, development and supervision, and a range of employee benefits.
We welcome applications from all sections of the community and the role would be equally as suitable for someone changing career as for someone just starting out.
We are an equal opportunities employer and we will interview and consider on their abilities Deaf and Disabled applicants who demonstrate that they meet the essential criteria for a job vacancy at Merton CIL, if they declare their disability at application. If you require additional support completing this application due to an access need, please get in touch on 0203 397 3119.
This role is for 28-35 hours per week.
Closing date for applications is Monday 3rd September 2018 at 9am.
